Pinnacle Access

On-Line Parent Access to Student Grades

Forget about old-fashioned paper grade books. Teachers at MHS are now keeping grades on a new web-based system called Pinnacle Gradebook2. Teachers and administrators can record and access student data through the District’s intranet or from home using the Internet. Best of all, likely starting in January of 2008, parents will be able to assess their child’s grade and attendance information through the Internet. Once parent access is ready, parents will be notified and provided the information needed to access their child's grades.

This easy access to their child’s grades and attendance records will help strengthen and enhance school-to-home relationships. Data from Gradebook2 will be interfaced with TERMS, the student information system. It is updated daily allowing for access to real-time data. The program will provide teachers and schools with accurate class rosters updated daily eliminating the lag time associated with the current tracking system.

Teachers and principals will have the capability to monitor the grades and attendance records of individual students and groups of students at the class or school level. In addition, all data collected can be archived allowing easy future access.

Gradebook2 is a time saver for teachers and staff automatically computing and recording grades and reducing the district’s reliance on traditional paper bubble sheets. Gradebook2 will provide teachers and district staff with an effective application to record and view student data and parents real-time access to their child’s grades and attendance.
